On January 6, 2018 the Sons of Italy held it’s annual Installation of Officer’s, Board of Director’s and Board of Trustee’s. Approximately 100 members and guests attended the event. Senator Joe Markley was the key note speaker and also administered the oath of office to the newly elected members. In a show of unity of the three Southington Italian Organizations, the President of  UNICO Ron Ingriselli and the President of Sorella D’ Italia Antoinette Barbato attended the ceremony.

During his address, President Antonio Cusano stated “he was Honored to have been elected to a second term as President of the Sons of Italy”. He stated, “Tonight’s ceremony marks the one hundred and eighth Installation of Officers, Board of Directors and Board of Trustees. These 15 men and I will take the oath of our positions shortly and assume the responsibility to lead our organization for the next year. These responsibilities are no easy task. They require commitment, dedication and attentions to detail as well as the continued support of all our members”. He also was pleased to reported that the club was sound, running smooth and that the clubs reputation with the community as well as local and state leaders is outstanding.  He thanked his membership for all their hard work in making 2017 a great success for the club and couldn’t wait to see what the club can accomplish in 2018. The other elected members are Robert Triano as Vice President, Mark Mongillo as Recording Secretary, Raymond Riccardone as Treasurer, Igino Torone as Financial Secretary, Luigi Lacedra as Sergeant of Arms and James Lucente as Auxiliary Officer. Board of Directors: Domenic Palazzo, Michael Nanfito, Tony Distasio, Carmine Menone and Richard Angilillo. The Board of Trustees: Mario Leonetti, Robert Gammattei, Steve Audi, John Albini and Pat Baldino.
