On December 2, 2020 during the clubs monthly meeting the membership had the distinct honor of recognize one of its distinguished members for his 24 years of service as Financial Secretary to the Southington Sons of Italy. 
Igino Torone has reached a level of service to our organization that is second to none. It is the longevity of members such as Igino Torone that has helped this organization succeed, continue to prosper and be a leader in our community. Most of all it is members such as Igino that have paved the road for generation to come in representing our club and Italian heritage. Igino is one of just a few members left that have immigrated from Italy and has truly lived the American dream in providing a great future and life for himself and most of all his family. Igino is a living legend of the legacy that this organization was founded on in 1910.
The Officer’s, Board of Director’s, Board of Trustees and the entire membership are truly grateful for his dedication and commitment to our organization. On behalf of the Sons of Italy membership we whole heartedly congratulate Igino on his 24 years of service as Financial Secretary and being a 49-year member in good standing to the Southington Sons of Italy as is awarded lifetime membership. Igino’s Son Alex is following in his Father’s footsteps and assumed the position and duties of Financial Secretary.
